Course Description

This course provides an overview of various kinds of fringe benefits and their tax implications to beneficiaries and providers of them. The course will also address requirements for the various fringe benefits to achieve tax savings as well as reporting requirements on common tax forms.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  1. Specify what a fringe benefit is and when it must be included in a recipient’s pay
  2. Specify how to value and account for fringe benefits
  3. Identify some of the common fringe benefit exclusions for both provider and receiver
  4. Apply the fringe benefit rules to various tax reporting requirements
